Dr. Bridges is a Senior Clinical Investigator specializing in general medicine and vaccines. Since 2022, she has been a dedicated clinical investigator with extensive experience in several therapeutic areas, including vaccines, infectious diseases, HIV, wound care, NASH (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis), hypertension (HTN), obesity, diabetes, and neuropathic pain. Dr. Bridges brings over 20 years of expertise in patient care and education within these dynamic fields.
Her commitment to advancing medical knowledge and patient care through scientific discovery stems from witnessing the profound impact of clinical research on patient outcomes. Dr. Bridges began her career as an analytical and metabolism chemist in the pharmaceutical industry while earning her Master of Science in Chemistry. She later obtained her MD from Indiana University, completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Bridges’ career highlights include collaborating with a diverse range of specialists to treat complex cases, such as life-threatening infections and immunosuppression-related conditions. She is also actively involved in teaching students and residents, hospital leadership, and scientific writing. Her extensive experience includes writing and presenting on topics such as analytical chemistry, the diagnosis and treatment of unusual medical cases, and patient education in infectious diseases.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Bridges enjoys hiking with her rescue dogs, boating, traveling, and cooking.
